Turkish Step Of The Meetings Has Just Finished


“True Interaction” Project kick-off meeting ended up. And the partcipants left Turkey. For the meetings held by 5 different countries, the coordinator was Turkey. During the very hard but exciting meetings the roles of each parther was decided. Apart from the roles of each country, mobility dates were decided too. The mobility dates will be as follows; Austria: 23-28 March of 2010, Finland: June 2010, Romania October 2010, Italia: February 2010, Spain: May 2011


Till March, each participant country is to prepare mother-daughter surveys according to their needs and send them to Finland. Kari Kotiranta, who is a trainer and psychologist at Open University, will organise the survey questions and send them to each partner to be used. And the partners will apply these questineers to 25-50 mother-daughter group. then they will hold a conference in their own country according to the results of these questineers. Every participant country will bparticipate to the meeting in Vienna with the reports of the studies done.The partners and the institutions partcipated to the kick-off meeting in Turkey are as follows:

Cultural Visits


Ilari Mehtönen who was participated to the project from Sastamala College in Finland said that Tosya had everything necessary for a photographer.


A sightseeing tour was organised by Tosya Adult Education Center in order to let them see the historical, cultural beauties of Tosya. Ilari, who took so many photos during the tour, said that he was so happy to be in Tosya and met so many intersting and kind people there. Participants saw Hıdırlık Hill, Blacksmith Bazaar, Abdurrahman Meraşi Mosque, and Ottoman Park respectively.

Home Visits

Together with the project participants of the foreign countries, the project team of the Adult Education Center of Tosya made a home visit to Macit KAYIKCI,a teacher living in the city centre.This activity was done based on the European Union Grundtvig Project issue "Adolescent Girl – Mother Communication Problems".
During the visit, one of our participants who visited our country from Spain, Inma Culada, showed a live performance with the guitar. The visit lasted very cheerfully and was regarded by the participants as very good. During the visit Tuija Hyvönen from Finland expressed his ideas and said:"Before I came to Turkey I’ve read many books about you.The book was talking about your hospitality. However, I’ve encountered with a much higher level of hospitality in your country. We started to think about how we will welcome you at the meeting in our country”. At the visit the participants have taken a photo with the family members.

Five Countries Get Together For Mothers In Turkey


The EU Grundtvig Learning Partnership project meetings, which aim to contribute to the solution of Communication problems between adolescent Girls and their Mothers, began with the participation of the project teams of Turkey, Finland, Romania, Spain and Austria.
The Representatives of foreign countries, visited first Abdülkadir ŞAHİN the National Education Manager of Tosya, and afterwards Arslan YURT the District Governor of Tosya. Finally they also made a visit to the Mayor of Tosya Kazım ŞAHİN. After all these visits the project team moved to the Public Education Center, where meeting rooms were prepared. The Coordinaton of the project is done by the Tosya Adult Education Center. In the first day's meeting ice breaker game activities were done among participants which created a warm atmosphere. After lunch the Atabinen Vocational School for Girls was visited and the participants were informed about the school. Group members encountered with an intense interest of the students and took lots of photos. Project beneficiaries visited also the Smith market where they could view the construction of Tosya’s traditional saw which is one of Tosya’s oldest professions. Then,a visit was made one by one to the former Tosya homes, the Abdurrahman Meraşi Mosque, and the Hıdırlık hill. After a tea break in the Ottoman park,a tour was done to the paddy fields of Ortalıca a small town part of Tosya. After dinner the beneficiaries had the opportunity to meet closely with Turkish Music in a Classical Music activity organized by the Music Association of Tosya.

Public Education Center and Evening Art School Tosya has prepared an EU project.This Project was adopted as the EU Grundtvig Learning Partnership project named as "Adolescent Girl - Mother Communication". The project's foreign partners will come together in Tosya on October 1st 2009.
The Project coordinator on behalf of Turkey is the Directorate of Tosya Adult Education Center and Evening Art School. The other project partners are on behalf of Romania the COLEGIUL TEHNIC "PETRU PONI", on behalf of Finland Sastamalan Opisto, the Sastamala Community College, on behalf of Spain CSI-CSIF,Corporación Sindical Independientey de Funcionarios, on behalf of Austria Die Wiener Volkshochschulen GmbH, Volkshochschule Alsergrund, Währing, Döbling,on behalf of Italy the RFS EUROFORM and on behalf of Lithuania the institution named Panevėžio rajono pedagogue svietimo centras. Lithuania and Italy won’t be able to attend the first meeting which will be held in Tosya between the dates 01-06 October 2009 since Italy hasn’t signed a contract with its country’s National Agency yet and Lithuania is in a spare position.

Our Project Was Introduced in International TRT2 Television

Our project titled “Communication problems between the Girls in the age of puberty and their Mothers” was introduced in the live broadcast of channel TRT-2 on September 7th 2009 at 18:30 in the television program called “Vision of Europe” .
Bünyamin SÖNMEZ who is the president of the Project Coordination Team at the Directorate of National Education of Tosya and is also the president of the Association of the Voices of Young Life as well,told our project. In the program in which the scope and the details of the project were described, issues like the challenges which the girls in the puberty age confront with, their disadvantaged status and which activities will be done to improve their communication skills, were discussed. Besides this, it was told that at the end of the project implementation, useful results will come out for the benefit of partner countries and for the whole of Turkey.

Our project ' Adolescent Daughters and Mothers' was approved

OUR POJECT CONCERNING ADOLESCENT DAUGHTER AND MOTHER WAS APPROVED
In 2009 Life Long Learning Programme, our Grundtvig Partnership project was approved. Of the approved 59 projects, Turkey is the coordinator in 5 of them. Tosya Public Education is the coordinator of the project.
Our project concerning the relationship between adolescent daughter and mother will be carried out with the partnership of participants from Finland, Austria, Romania, Italy, Spain, Lithuania. (Lithuania is now reserved.) Project idea, finding partners, filling in the form with all other partners, and the coordination of the project was carried out by Bünyamin SÖNMEZ who is the manager of Tosya project coordination unit. Besides, Bünyamin SÖNMEZ’s article on how to find partnership was published in the magazine of National Agency which has a circulation of 80 thousand.
